Christmas Baking

Yesterday the children and I did our Christmas baking. The girls and I made blueberry muffins for our Christmas Eve breakfast, and puppy chow for a special Christmas treat. We used a recipe like this for the puppy chow. I was concerned that I didn't have a mixing bowl LARGE enough to stir the puppy chow in, and K suggested we use our big stock pot. I thought to myself, "what a wonderful little cook she is turning out to be!" It's fun to cook in the kitchen with your kids. The messes are always bigger, but hey, it's not so bad if they help you clean it up! T spent some time in the kitchen today too because he signed up to take cupcakes to his scout Christmas party.

The girls shook the bags to cover the puppy chow in powder sugar!
L and K took turns stirring the muffin batter
Tyler decorated the cupcakes for his cub scout Christmas party!

I think she would love that! T is talking all the time about how we should open a restaurant!!! They were talking today that if we did that I would never have time to do school with them, so that made the idea seem even BETTER!!! LOL
