Apple Picking
Today some friends of ours let us know about a great place to go apple picking! So, they led the way, and we followed! We had a great time! The children really enjoyed it, and we're already making plans to go on one more apple picking trip next month! This afternoon, K and I (mom) made 6 apple dumplings. We plan on making some apple butter, and we might even try making some homemade applesauce if we have enough apples. The children eat apples almost every single day, so we'll see how much cooking we are able to accomplish before the fruit of our labor runs out!

Fun! We live in apple country, and our preacher has a small apple orchard. They always have a picking day for the congregation to come glean what is left. Unfortunately we won't be there that day, but his wife and I are good friends, as are our kids so we'll be picking soon too!
