Nikki's Notes

We have been busy around here. I (Nikki) went to Southern CA to visit my sister-in-law. Heath stayed at home with the children and worked from home. I returned home on Friday, May 22nd, and then Saturday, we took the kids to the Balitmore Zoo and had a lot of fun! The girls attended their first sleepover on Sunday night and had a blast! T, Dad, and I hung out and had a great time! It was fun having one-on-one time with T! So, on Memorial Day, we stayed at home and just chilled out!

K is playing in an instructional t-ball league this summer (pictures coming soon)!

T and Dad will be going to Scout camp in June. The girls and I are planning some fun activities to do together while they are gone. They want to invite a couple of their friends over for a sleepover!

In July Heath will be the worship speaker at the Philadelphia World Changers project. He'll be home for 5 days, and then I'll leave for Peru for 10 days! So, July will be gone in a blink of an eye!

In August our church will host Vacation Bible School. We are also planning on going to see the St. Louis Cardinals play the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park! We're excited about that! Seriously, all of our family vacations involve either baseball games or zoos! But, we enjoy it and have lots of fun!

So, how about you? What are your Summer plans?

Nikki's Notes

Spring is here! We are enjoying more sunshine and outdoor play! It's still too cold for shorts though, much to L's dismay.

The children have enjoyed two sessions of a new homeschool co-op we're participating in, and will have four more before it wraps up for the summer.

Heath organized a Men's Gym Night at our local community center. They all had so much fun, they want to try and make it a regular get-together.

I am thankful and praising God for providing all the needed funds for my mission trip to Peru this summer! Now, I just need to continue working on learning more Spanish!

Spring Plans

The Easter Choir that Heath is directing will perform on Good Friday!

We are looking forward to meeting some old friends in Gettysburg the first weekend in May! Heath and Matt were in the same youth group in high school, and were college roommates. Matt and his family live in PA not too far from us! It will be fun to see them again. I can't wait to hold their new baby!

We are planning a day trip to the Daniel Boone Homestead. It is a little over an hour from us.

Summer Plans

We are trying to find K a t-ball team to play on. We're having difficulty finding one that does not play their games on Sundays. She was allowed to choose one activity to do this summer. Her options were dance, piano lessons, or t-ball.

Heath and T will be going to Camp Tuckahoe this summer!

Nikki's Notes

When we moved from Missouri to Mississippi in 2004, we had a family website called Tibbetts Online. We updated photos of the children each month, and then I (Mom) would post "Nikki's Notes." I've decided to give this a try again. Looking over this new family blog, I've realized that we don't share a lot of details about our lives. Just fun pictures and highlights. Today, I'm going to share the first edition of a former "tradition."

Nikki's Notes

T is looking forward to warmer weather. He misses being able to go outside and catch critters (insects, frogs, toads, etc...). All winter he has been saving jars with lids so he will be prepared to make his catches when Spring arrives. T never keeps the critters for very long though. He always releases them back into their natural habitat, because he doesn't want them to die. Click here for an old post to read more about Tyler's love for insects and Ambibians.

K seems to be growing and changing very quickly! She has started losing teeth, and chose to use some of her Christmas money to get her ears pierced. She still enjoys music very much! She is becoming a very good reader and writer and is always writing new song lyrics, stories, or letters to friends and family. She is very creative!

L has been changing a lot lately. It's hard to believe she will be four-years-old on March 30th. She's not a baby or a toddler anymore. Definitely a preschooler. She enjoys doing preschool activities with Mom. When she doesn't know the answer her classic response is, "Okay, I be the teacher, and you tell me what it is." Maybe she will be a teacher one day! L loves anything and everything that sparkles. If she sees someone in a store that has sparkles on their shoes, purse, or shirt, she is not too shy to tell them how much she likes their sparkles. Click here to see an old post about K's earrings and L's love for sparkly things.
